Software Engineer

Reports to: Development and Engineering Manager

Location: Corporate Headquarters (Pittsburgh, PA)

General Description: Using the skill set described below, contributes to the design, coding and documentation of HyperActive Technologies Product suite.

We are looking for a genuine team player who is willing and able to tackle significant software development tasks while adopting and embracing established patterns and processes. The ideal candidate is able to quickly understand and internalize the structure and components of a complex system architecture and develop new functionality that effectively leverages the existing code base.

General Quaifications:

  • Must be highly productive in a fast-paced dynamic environmentDegree with major coursework in computer science or related fieldAbility to communicate ideas effectively and contribute to resolution of programming challenges
  • Must be professional and driven to succeed

Required Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of five years experience in developing software solutions Proficient in C# and .NET. Minimum of three years experienceExperience with reflective programming in C#Experience with .NET remoting and/or TCP/IP communication protocolsKnowledge of distributed systemsExtensive understanding of XML including XSD schemas and XSL transformationsUnderstanding and acceptance of Test Driven DevelopmentUnderstanding of Windows Controls and Business Logic CodingSignificant experience with SQL Server and ADO.NETExperience with Automated Testing Frameworks is desired
  • Experience with vision systems and/or Statistics and prediction systems is highly attractive
